2 Games for Turlock in Week 8 

 

(TURLOCK, CA., DECEMBER 14th, 2017)—-Turlock Express (2-5) will head into Week 8 of the Major Arena Soccer league with two league games this weekend. They will start off this Friday, December 15th as they host RGV Barracudas (1-6) for the first time this season out of the two that will take place at Turlock Indoor. Kickoff for Friday’s match is scheduled for 7:05 pm with tickets for the game available for purchase at Turlock Indoor located on 500 S. Center St, Turlock Ca. After Friday’s match, The Express are hitting the road to close out the weekend with a match against Pacific Division Rivals, San Diego Sockers (6-0) at 5:05pm at the Valley View Casino in Southern California which can be viewed live on MASL.tv. 

 

The South West division team will arrive in Turlock after bagging an 11-7 win against the mighty Soles de Sonora on Wednesday night. This win was the first for the RGV Barracudas who have had a slow start to their season but have proven that they can still put up a fight. 

 

The last time The Express met with the Barracudas was December 3rd when Turlock traveled to Texas and defeated RGV by a score of 11-7. Key players for RGV are Ismael Pineda and Moises Gonzalez who are the top two leading scorers for their squad. 

 

Sunday’s game will be the first time Turlock Express and San Diego Sockers meet this 2017-18 season. The Sockers are coming into the match with a perfect record of 6 wins. The last time both Pacific Division team met was last season as the Sockers took 2 wins out of the 3. This season they have entered the league incomplete dominance with no L’s so far especially with the reinforcements they signed off season such as Hiram Ruiz and Raymundo Contreras who had previously played with Soles de Sonora. The Sockers #1 man is still Kraig Chiles with 13 goals for the Sockers this new season. 

 

Turlock will look to Ivan Campos who leads the MASL in top points to finish things off for the Express. The combination of the new young players with the Veterans has been working for the Express as they enter this weeks games off a 2 win streak.
