Cal Express fall short to the Fury

Frank Tayou scores the game winning goal in Ontario tonight to give the Fury (4-7) a 6-5 victory over the Cal Express (3-8).

The opening goal was seen in the 7th minute of the first quarter in favor of the Turlock Cal Express.

Ivan Campos dribbled the ball into the corner and found the perfect pass to put the ball in front of Adrian Pulido who finished the play.

A few moments later, the Fury were able to tie the game off a set piece goal by Justin Stinson who shot one through the legs of goalkeeper Edgar Martinez.

The Cal Express who started strong in the first 15 minutes of play were able to sneak one in after Anibal Echeverria battled with Chris Toth and found the back of the net with 4 seconds left in the 1st.

The second quarter up until halftime was all Fury effort. Ontario has a total of three unanswered goals.

Maicon de Abreu scored twice back to back while Juan Carlos Gonzalez finished off the first half with his own and gave the Fury a 4-2 lead.

Turlock got back on track in the third with goals by Cristian Valadez, Juan Rojo and one more from Anibal Echeverria.

Echeverrias goal equalized the game but Tayou goal was the last to go in.

Turlock now returns home to host the Dallas Sidekicks this Saturday at Turlock Indoor.
