Coyotes put another L on Turlock’s Record


(EL PASO, TX. January 19th, 2017)--- The Express (2-13) arrived in El Paso,Texas Friday for an evening game against the Coyotes (6-7). Turlock started off the game with a quick ball by Carmona to the wall but instead were countered giving a preview of how the rest of the night would look like unfortunately for Turlock. A total of 13 goals were scored in Coyotes favor that resulted in a 13-4 final .


Turlock had a rough start in tonight’s opening quarter as they faced an eagered Coyote squad who was in search of a win to break their 5L streak and did just that. 


A total of 3 unanswered goals in favor of the Southwest team were seen in quarter 1. Two of the first goals came from the Salas brothers who kicked things off early for the Coyotes and gave them a quick lead. 


David Salas chipped one over Express goalkeeper Edgar Martinez while his brother choose to blast one in pass Martinez. Marco Gonzalez also joined the fun capitalizing off of a defensive error from Turlock that ended the 1st quarter 3-0 Coyotes.


The Express came in a bit more aggressive in the 2nd quarter by opening up with a fast goal by Arturo Pulido just 23 seconds in. The Coyotes would then return for more action on Turlock’s side with an additional 3 goals. The 2nd Half remained all Coyote and only 2 goals were seen by Turlock. 


The key players for El Paso on tonight’s victory were David Salas and Hugo Puentes who had 3 goals each. 


Turlock will remain in Texas to close out the weekend with a game against RGV Barracudas on Sunday. The game can be seen live on MASL.tv.
