Express Open up the Year at Home

(Turlock, Ca. January 5, 2017)--- As the new year is off to a start, Turlock Express (4-6) will host their first home game of 2017 against Ontario Fury (3-4) Friday, January 6th at Turlock Indoor with the game scheduled to start at 7:05pm.

Turlock is looking to defend their undefeated home record against the Fury as they prepare to come face to face for the second time this season. The last game in which both MASL teams were on the same field was back in November when Turlock traveled to Southern California.

The Fury made sure to open up the night with no mercy with four back to back goals in the 1st and 2nd quarter of the match. It wasn’t until Adrian Gutierrez gave the Express some breathing room with the first goal for the away team. With the 4th quarter approaching rapidly Turlock had to change the game plan as they were trailing 6-1 to the Fury.

Express began to dominate with the arrival of the 4th quarter with 4 consecutive goals by Matthew Germain, Ivan Campos and two from Martyn Arista. This outcome completely changed the game forcing the Fury to put in a 6th attacker as the home team only lead by one.

Turlock however ran out of time against the Fury resulting in a devastating loss with the final score of 7-5. This time around, Turlock will look to gain possession early on to take the lead against the Pacific rivals while also making sure to limit Leonardo De Oliveira up top as he is Ontario’s leading scorer with a total of 9 goals so far.

Doors to The Turlock Express and Ontario Fury’s match up will open at 6:00pm at 500 S.center Street in Turlock, Ca.
