Turlock Express Travels to Ontario

(Turlock, Ca. November 23, 2016)--- After an exciting game on Friday, November 18th in which resulted in a victory for the Turlock Express (2-3) over the 14 time Indoor Champions The San Diego Sockers (3-2), Turlock is to travel to Southern California in another Pacific Division matchup against Ontario Fury (1-2) as they look forward for their first win on the road.

Defensively, Turlock Express has shown a new side to them with only allowing 4 goals last matchup against the Sockers. Player of the week, Jose Martinez had an extraordinary game with 3 blocks, 2 assists and a goal of his own to add to the scoreboard.

Adrian Gutierrez had 2 goals for the night while players Anibal Echeverria, Ivan Campos and Martyn Arista had a goal each resulting in the final score of 6-4 express. Additionally, Goalkeeper Christopher Welch had one of his best nights in the box with 15 key saves that limited San Diego’s offense who had a total of 31 shots.

Coming off of that huge victory for the express, Turlock now looks to improve their overall record in Ontario. The last time Turlock was on the same field with the Ontario Fury was during a preseason game in which Fury took a 9-6 win over the Express.

Since then, Turlock has found a style of play among the new additions to the team and the veterans that can ultimately be a threat to the Fury. The biggest threat of the night will be Anibal Echeverria as he remains the leading scorer for Turlock Express with 9 goals this season and no signs of stopping there.
