Tacoma Stars outscore Cal Express

The Tacoma Stars (5-8 ) scored first tonight and never looked back as they welcomed the Cal Express (4-9) at home.

The Stars set the tone early in the game with an instant goal by Nick Perera within the first thirty six seconds of the opening quarter. This goal gave the Stars an early lead over Turlock.

The next was seen further into the quarter off a fast break from Tacoma. Alessandro Canale took it to the corner and found Michael Ramos wide open in the middle of the box who then shot one past Turlock’s goalkeeper.

The Stars increased their lead to 3-0 over Turlock in minute three of the first with another goal from Nick Perera who found the opportunity off a wall past from Chase Hanson.

Alessandro Canale and Michael Ramos returned for more in the second quarter and made it a 5-0 game.

The second half continued to be an all Tacoma game. The Stars kept possession and played a counter attack game. Nick Perera and Michael Ramos both had a hat trick tonight while Alessandro Canale scored once and had two assists to contribute to their 10-3 win over Turlock.

The Cal Express only scored in the second half. Adrian Gutierrez had two, while Ivan Campos got the third one in to end the game.
