Turlock welcome Ontario Fury
The Turlock Cal Express (4-10) welcomes the Ontario Fury (5-8) at home for the first time this season tomorrow night. Friday’s match is scheduled for kickoff at 7:05pm with doors opening to the public at 6pm.
This upcoming match against the Fury will be game three out of the 6 scheduled this season. So far Ontario leads 2-0 in the series with two wins at their home turf.
The Fury are coming off an impressive 7-0 win over the Mesquite Outlaws while the Cal Express look to recover after an unfortunate loss on the road against the Stars.
The first encounter this season between both Western Division teams was led completely by Frank Tayou who found the back of the net five times that night. Great goalkeeping by Chris Toth also factored in on the 8-3 victory.
Frank Tayou remains on the leaderboards for not just his team but in the league overall with 27 goals and 8 assists in 13 games, while Juan Carlos Gonzalez leads the team in assists with 12 so far. These two will be what Turlock needs to watch for.
For the Cal Express, Adrian Gutierrez has continued to rack points with 11 goals and 10 assists. Juan Manue Rojo and Gerardo Jurado are right underneath with 9 goals each.
Tomorrow night's win will be of very much importance this late in the season as the bottom of the Western Division are really close within one another. Turlock is looking to climb back up while the Fury looks to take out Tacoma and claim the 4th spot in playoffs.
If you still need tickets for Friday, head over to Turlock Indoor to purchase before or gameday.
