Turlock Run out of time in the 4th

(TURLOCK, CA. February 16th, 2018)--- The Tacoma Stars (9-11) traveled down to northern california this Friday night to the home of the Turlock Express (2-18) for their final matchup of the season. The Tacoma Stars came in off a loss to the Ontario Fury from last night but pushed through for the much needed win. Danny Waltman kept his team alive for that playoff position by only allowing 3 goals. This helped the Stars bag a 5-3 victory tonight.

Tacoma came in hot in the opening quarter with several shots on frame but it wasn’t until minute 7 that Troy Peterson striked one in.

The second quarter, Turlock went in looking for an early equalizer but caught a glimpse of Derek Johnson in action and soon regretted it as he increased Tacoma’s lead. After a few minutes of back to back action from both teams, Adrian Plascencia found the net pass Waltman and cut down their lead by 1.

The well known Nick Perera made an appearance before the end of the 1st half to put the Stars up 3-1.

The remainder of the match was intense as Adrian Plascencia entered the 2nd half with another goal in favor of the Express.

With only 5 minutes remaining in the game and down by 2, Turlock swapped out their keeper and put in the 6th attacker.

Various attempts from the Express took place but no luck as the time ran out and the final score fell in favor of the Stars.

Turlock will conclude the 2017-18 MASL season at home with 2 consecutive home games, with this upcoming friday against the RGV Barracudas. Tickets are available at Turlock Indoor all week.
