TURLOCK TO VISIT THE SOCKERS

(TURLOCK, CA., January 18th, 2019)— This Sunday will mark the second encounter between the Turlock Express (0-9) and the San Diego Sockers (8-1). This time around it will be at the Sockers home in Southern California. Kickoff at the Pechanga Arena is scheduled for 5:05pm.

The last time the Express and Sockers came face to face was back in the first week of January at Turlock Indoor where a strong San Diego team allowed only one goal from Turlock that resulted in a 8-1 Victory for them.

Even though the Express scored the opening goal, The sockers followed that with 6 goals by 6 different players, while Brandon Escoto scored twice.

Since that game the Express have signed a few new additions. Two of them made their debut last weekend in Texas. Douglas Lima and Gustavo Campos who have both played with the Ontario Fury previous seasons ago joined the Express and scored both in their first game of the season.

Another new player who was recently signed was Victor Parra. Parra has played futsal and 4 years at San Jose State. He will be taking the field for the first time for Turlock this Sunday against the Sockers.

Players to look out for from the Sockers will be the one and only Kraig Chiles who has 13 goals in the 9 games played as well as Brandon Escoto who has 9 goals.

Sunday’s match can be viewed live on MASLTV.
