Turlock Express Falls Short To Soles De Sonora

33 goals in one night


Turlock, Ca.---  Turlock Express (1-2) after six final rapid goals in the fourth quarter against Soles De Sonora (2-1) failed to overturn the scoreboard in their favor with the final score of 18 soles, 15 Express. 


With only a one goal differential in the first quarter, this match hosted by Soles De Sonora was off to a fast start. Sonora Players Hiram Ruiz and Enrique Canez both had two goals each. However, Express Players Matthew Germain and Anibal Echeverria made sure they equally represented themselves on the scoreboard each contributing two goals as well.


As the game progressed, various errors defensively on Turlock’s behalf allowed Soles to capitalize on break aways giving them a four goal lead by Half-Time. In the second half, an accumulation of eight goals favoring express over the seven goals from Sonora were scored by the end of fourth quarter.


Express player Ivan Campos who had opened up the match with the first goal of the night had a total of three goals. Matthew Germain didn’t fall short as he contributed the equivalent amount for the Express throughout the whole game. Arturo Pulido and Jorge Carmona each had two goals with an additional goal by Adrian Pulido in last seconds of the match. 



Anibal Echeverria had a total of four goals in both halves making him the top scorer for Express against Soles de Sonora. Sonora players Frank Tayou and Enrique Canez were tied for the leading scorer of the night for the Soles with a favorable amount of five goals each. In total 33 goals were made in tonight's game. 


Turlock Express continues on the road as they take on Atletico baja Sunday, November 13 at 5:05pm at la Deportiva to conclude the double header this weekend.
