Baja travels to Northern California

(TURLOCK, CA. February 23rd, 2017)---  With Atlético Baja locked in for playoffs, making sure to finalize their last games with victories is exactly the mindset in which they will arrive to Turlock, California with for Friday night's game against the Turlock Express. The game is scheduled for kickoff at 7:05pm at Turlock Indoor Soccer. 

Atlético Baja is highly known for their offensive attacker Christian Gutierrez who recently broke an MASL record as being the only Mexican player to surpass a total of 49 goals in the Major Arena Soccer League. Gutierrez now has 50 goals and 10 assists putting him in the top 3 league leaders.

Martyn Arista continues to lead Express offensively with 20 goals. Adrian Gutierrez and Matthew Germain are not far behind contributing up top as well. Turlock will look to limit Gutierrez who is known for seeking an early goal in opening period and not have a repeat of the last time Baja visited Turlock. 

The last match that took place at Turlock Indoor between both teams was back in January. The Express held their own against the fast charging Gallos throughout the entire 4 periods that ultimately spilled into Overtime. 

An intense overtime began and had the whole Express crowd in suspense. Christian Gutierrez was sure to finish things off for Baja in the last minutes of Overtime that gave them the win. Strengthening defense will be huge for Turlock who will search for their last win against Baja.
