Cal Express outscore the Seawolves

The Cal Express had quite the impressive win this Sunday after defeating the Orlando Seawolves 14-7.

Today’s match in the Silver Spurs Arena started off slow with no goals seen from either side until the last 5 minutes of play in the opening quarter.

Matt Germain (Julio Varela) opened up the scoreboard first at 3:56 for Turlock with Manuel Rojo (Luis Brambila) scoring a minute later giving the Cal Express a 2 null lead late in the first.

As the first was about to end, Seawolves Armando Tello shot a banger in the upper corner of the goal cutting Turlock’s lead in half.

The second quarter wasn’t of much difference with Ivan Campos and Julio Varela scoring one each followed by Seawolves Jeff Michaud.

The second half of the match Turlock was able to turn up the speed scoring 10 goals.

Luis Brambila had a hat trick, Matt Germain and Anival Echeverria scored twice and had an assist.

Julio Varela who was signed later in the season by the Cal Express found the back of the net twice and had two assists as well.

The Cal Express will now visit the Mesquite Outlaws for the first time this season next week.
