EXPRESS FALL TO THE FURY
(TURLOCK, CA. November 30th, 2018)--- The Turlock Express (0-1) arrived in Ontario Ca early Friday to prepare for their first match of the 2018-19 Season against the Ontario Fury (1-0). The Fury dominated in their home opener taking a 11-2 win over Turlock.
The Express kicked off the opening quarter against a new and improved Fury team with their main man, Chris Toth in the box. Unfortunately, Turlock did not have their top leading scorer, Ivan Campos on the field as he had to serve a suspension for Game 1.
The first half of the match fell in favor of the Fury with an outstanding performance from Adrien Perez who had the first goal of the night for the Fury and put the last one in before halftime to give the Fury a 6-1 lead over the Express.
The Fury’s momentum through out the first half allowed Adrien Perez to score 4 goals while the other two were put in by Juan Carlos Gonzalez and Tino Nunez.
In Quarter 1 and 2 Turlock outshot the Fury 14 to 10 but were just not able to capitalize on any of them except the power play goal scored by Jorge Carmona.
The final two quarters continued to be all Fury with Juan Carlos Gonzalez scoring 2 in the third with Adrien Perez making an appearance in the 4th making it his 5th goal of the night. Turlock remained silent during the second half until the final minutes with their second goal by Matthew Germain.
The Express remains on the road as they conclude their doubleheader weekend in Tacoma tomorrow night at 7:05 pm. The match can be viewed live through MASLtv on MASLsoccer.com.
