EXPRESS OUTSHINED BY TACOMA

(TURLOCK, CA., April 12th , 2019)—  The Tacoma Stars outshined the Turlock Express at their final match of the 2018-19 season by the final score of 14-4.

The Stars came out strong tonight proving why they should be the Pacific Division team to join the San Diego Sockers in playoffs by dominating the opening half with a total of 9 unanswered goals.

Tacoma’s leader, Nick Perera and Michael Ramos put in work with various goals and assists that gave them that huge lead into Halftime.

Keeping the Express to no goals in  the first two quarters was the well known Danny Waltman who returned to the Roster sheet recently after sitting out a few games earlier this season due to injury.

The Express woke up a little into the 3rd with two back to back goals from Douglas Lima before he returned to give a ball in the air to Joaquin Raya who headed the 3rd goal in for the Express.

These goals got the Express going for a bit until Tacoma resurfaced for more making sure to close out hard in the 4th.

Key players for the Stars win tonight were Nick Perera with 4 goals, 1 assist,  while Vince McCluskey had 3 goals and 1 assist. Michael Ramos and Lamar Neagle both contributed with a goal each and 3 assists.

With tonight wrapping up the Season for the Express, Turlock would like to thank all their fans for their endless support and ask that they continue to Follow the team on all social media platforms to stay connected with  postseason events and much more.
