EXPRESS UNABLE TO FINISH IN THE 4TH

(TURLOCK, CA., April 3rd , 2019)— The Express held on and fought a hard battle tonight against the RGV Barracudas all 4 quarters but unfortunately ran out of time falling short to a final score of 5-6 RGV.

Tonight’s  match started off equally in the opening quarter by both the Express and the RGV Barracudas who were in search of an early lead.

The Barracudas found the back of the net later in the 2nd with a goal by Moises Gonzalez (Mitchell Cardenas) followed by another off a shootout opportunity when Express Goalkeeper made contact with a Barracudas player.

Down by two, The Express retook possession and gave Omar Tapia the ball who made sure to lock one in before the first half ended.

Feeding off that goal, Turlock was able to get two more in thanks to Adrian Plascencia and Martyn Arista that gave them their first lead of the night.

The Rio Grande Valley did not let the one goal difference get to them by answering back with 3 goals that put them up by 2 once more.

Despite the final score, Turlock was able to get back in the game in the final moments with an amazing goal by Matthew Germain but proved to not be enough as the Barracudas still held a one goal advantage bagging their 14th win of the season.

Key players that highlighted RGV’s win tonight were Moises Gonzalez and Genoni Martinez.

The Express will now end their 2018-19 season next Friday at home against the Tacoma Stars at Turlock Indoor. Come out and support as they conclude the season in honor of their fans .
