RGV DEFEATS TURLOCK 

 

(TURLOCK, CA., January 13th, 2019)— Turlock (0-9) closed up week 7 in the MASL visiting Southwest team, The RGV Barracudas ( 3-3 ) this sunday evening. In front of a 

 

The Barracudas began the game with a strong presence by Efrain Martinez who not only opened up the scoreboard for the Texas team but gave them an instant 2-0 lead over the Express in the first quarter of tonight’s match.

 

Diego Zuniga added to the score with a goal seen in the last minute of the opening quarter making Turlock play catch up in the second trailing by 3 goals.

 

The Express picked up a bit more momentum in the 2nd gaining more possession to create opportunities. JC Bugarin and Carlos Manzo both feed off the new energy with a goal a piece cutting down on their deficient. 

 

Just one goal down, the Express struggled to get past the Barracudas defense who played a well rounded game tonight limiting them to one more goal for the rest of the match.

 

The second half was completely dominated by the Barracudas who scored 4 times , 2 of those in the last minutes of the match against Turlock’s 6th attacker. 

 

The stars for the night were Efrain Martinez and Moises Gonzalez who with tonights 2 goals put him up top on the board as the Barracudas lead scorer. 

 

Turlock will now return home to rest before heading to San Diego on Sunday for a match against Pacific Rivals.
