San Diego Sockers make way to Turlock

(TURLOCK, CA., JANUARY 26th, 2018)— This Friday, The Turlock Express (2-14) will be facing off the San Diego Sockers (11-2) for the last time this 2017-18 MASL season at home at The Turlock Indoor. The game is scheduled for kickoff at 7:05pm with doors opening to the public at 6pm. Tickets for this upcoming match can be purchased at Turlock Indoor located on 500 S. center St in Turlock, Ca.

The San Diego Sockers will be coming into Friday’s match no longer undefeated as they took their first two defeats this past week against the Ontario Fury and Soles de Sonora. Despite those 2L they came off strong Sunday night as they retook the lead in the final quarter against the Fury and put up two goals that gave them an 8-6 win over Ontario.

Turlock will also be coming in with 2 unsuccessful road games in Texas from last weekend. They fell short to both The RGV Barracudas and El Paso Coyotes.

Both those games the Express traveled without two key players that have been a huge asset to the team. Ivan Campos who remains Turlock’s leading scorer did not travel as well as Adrian Gutierrez who is known to be the man who builds up plays for the Express.

These two players are set to make an appearance on Friday’s roster for Turlock and will be a huge contribution.

The past 3 games Turlock has not been able to score more than 2 goals against the Sockers’ structured defense. This Friday they hope to break that streak and push for a much needed win.
