TURLOCK FALL TO THE STARS
(TURLOCK, CA. December 1st, 2018)--- The Turlock Express (0-2) wrapped up their double header this Saturday against the Tacoma Stars (1-0) but had no luck falling to the Washington team 12-2.
The first 15 minutes of play were all Tacoma on their opening night. The Stars completely shut down any possibility Turlock had and in return dominated the quarter with 3 goals. The first one came within the 1st minute of play by Philip Lund.
Lund then returned 2 minutes later for additional goal off a similar play like the first. Turlock was just not able to gain any control and got countered giving away another goal shot in by James Riley. This goal became Riley’s first goal in his MASL career.
A bit more was seen from the Express in the beginning of the second. Turlock began with possession but it was not enough to keep the Stars from getting every loose ball and capitalizing. 4 more goals by Tacoma were seen giving the Stars a 7-0 lead over the Express at halftime.
The second half of the match was not different then the first. Tacoma continued to dominate, high pressuring and countering every possible opportunity given. A rainfall of goals continued to pour in for the Stars by Nick Perera, Tony Peterson, Matt Clare and Vince McCluskey.
Tacoma had the lead all 4 quarters and only allowed the Express to put two goal in. Both goals for Turlock were by Ernesto Luna.
The Express will return on December 14th at home for their Opener against the RGV Barracudas at Turlock Indoor. Tickets are available online at TurlockExpress.com.
