Turlock is outscored by the Fury

(ONTARIO, CA. December 17th, 2017)---Wednesday evening, Turlock (2-8) stepped onto Fury (5-4)  territory for their last game of 2017 in search of a road win. The Express looked for an early start as they put pressure on Ontario’s defense but were not able to do much with Jose Miranda in the box for the Fury. Miranda had 13 key saves that pushed Turlock to a low scoring game for them. On top of Ontario’s well structured defense, they unleashed a total of 14 goals in the 4 quarters to end the match 14-4 in their favor.

Turlock kicked off the opening quarter looking for their leading scorer, Ivan Campos to start things off but no goals were seen from both Pacific Division teams 6 minutes in until Leonardo de Oliveira opened up the scoreboard for Ontario and gave them the lead.

A total of 3 additional goals were seen for Fury before Mathew Germain stepped in and found the net for Turlock. After that the remainder of the game was controlled by the southern california team who were able to shoot 37 times against Turlock.

The man of the night for The Fury was Leonardo de Oliveira who had a total of 4 goals tonight. Tino Nunez and Adrien Perez had a great game as well with 3 goals each. Perez also had 2 assists tonight.

Despite getting outscored, Matthew Germain had two goals for the Express while Jose Ortega and Arturo Pulido had one each.

Turlock will now open the year up at home as they host The San Diego Sockers January 5th. Make sure you are following The Express on all social media platforms to stay updated with future games.
